I am one the biggest Adele fans there are. I love this woman, so it was self-evident that after already having „19“ and „21“ I would get hold of her new record „25“. I was sure, that the album would become wonderful, but would it be as beautiful as „21“? And will I be able to listen to it without comparing it to her predecessors?
The album was released yesterday, I bought it around 7pm, listened to it at 8pm when I got home until 12pm and I have to say that Miss Adkins is still killing it. She is able to transport her feeling: Pain, yearning, hope, fear, confidence… just everything.
It’s not easy to put my hands on my absolute favourite songs, because I truly love them all. Be it a ballad or a poppy pop song, she is able to make the listener listen to his inside and start feeling. However one doesn’t feel crushed down, but strong and invincible – like a rising phoenix. The songs make something positive out of negative things and give you the feeling of confidence. You can hear that Adele has grown up, so adult that she doesn’t get led by her feelings anymore, but reflects the negative feelings and lets them pass before she speaks or draws conclusions.
Mostly her songs „Hello“, „Send My Love (To Your New Lover)“, which she wrote with Max Martin, one of the best pop music producers of our time, „When We Were Young“ and „Sweetest Devotion“ have given me some serious feelings.
„25“ is a strong creation, which in my opinion should not lack in any music collection. But is it as brilliant as „21“? Right now, I still love her 2nd album the most so my answer would be No, but who knows, listening to it more and more will make me get into the songs better. And even if it doesn’t for me, it’s still a masterpiece.
